Brief description<\/strong><\/td>This project consists of the creation of a heat network that takes advantage of the geothermal resource of the mine water from the Fond\u00f3n well and biomass (total power 3 MW).<\/td><\/tr>
Main characteristics<\/strong><\/td>This project is being developed in two phases in the Asturian municipality of Langreo. Phase I consists of a 1.5 MW geothermal generation facility to supply the Juan Carlos Beiro Sports Center, VIPASA homes, Langrehotel and Nuestra Se\u00f1ora del Fresno Residence, the La Felguera Health Center and the Management of Health Area VIII. Phase II of the heat network aims to extend the supply to four additional customers (Communication, Image and Sound Training Center, Eulalia \u00c1lvarez School, Ganz\u00e1bal Municipal Field and Vitra housing building), improve the efficiency of the geothermal installation and reduce dependence on mine water pumping. To this end, the geothermal installation is hybridized with biomass boilers with a power of 1.5 MW. Phase III of the project is under development with a view to extending the network to four additional customers. Phase I and II have been awarded subsidies co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), aimed at companies, to promote the transition to a low carbon economy in all sectors, through the Department of Industry, Employment and Economic Promotion. For the development of Phase III, aid has been received corresponding to the “First Call for Incentive Programs for heating and cooling network projects using renewable energy sources, within the framework of the “Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Financed by the European Union-NextGenerationEU”. <\/td><\/tr>
