The IDAE has published the list of beneficiaries of the REPOTENC 2 program, which supports investment in the repowering of wind farms and the technological and environmental modernization of small hydroelectric plants with a capacity of up to 50 MW.
The call for proposals supports 81 initiatives to replace wind turbines and 92 initiatives for the technological and environmental modernization of small hydroelectric plants. Asturias is represented by a total of 7 hydroelectric plants, with a total investment of €7.3 million, located in Amieva, Tineo, Somiedo, Quirós, and Cabrales, which generate a total of 161.12 MW of hydroelectric power.
