The El Franco Energy Community was established in 2022 to promote the generation and shared consumption of renewable energy in the municipality. In 2026, the City Council joined the community to strengthen its development and promote new projects.
As part of the 2026 Agenda 2030 call for proposals, plans call for the installation of a 168-module photovoltaic system on the roof of the Business Center in the Novales Industrial Area, along with a standalone electric vehicle charging station with two charging points and a battery storage system.
