The Mining Commission for the Follow-up of the Framework Agreement for a Just Transition of Coal Mining and the Sustainable Development of the Mining Regions 2019-2027 was held today. During the meeting, the Institute for Just Transition (ITJ), an agency under the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO), has reported on the degree of progress and compliance with the financial commitments of the Agreement: if it was agreed to mobilize 250 million euros for the revitalization of the territory, more than 692 million have already been committed for these specific actions and a total of 975 million as part of the Framework Agreement, linked to a total investment of more than 2,100 million.
