The Rural Energy Community of El Valle, promoted by Ruraltopia, brings together 5 self-employed and a cooperative to collectively manage their self-consumption facilities. Incorporated as an association, it seeks to create a Local Smart Grid that optimizes energy production and consumption through digital monitoring.
With a target of 30-40kW, the CEE promotes shared services, joint maintenance, collective purchasing and alliances with the Social and Solidarity Economy. In addition, it acts as a community agent capable of negotiating with distributors and electric cooperatives, promoting sustainability and rural energy sovereignty.
