On July 28, the Council of Ministers approved a resolution designating the projects awarded in the procedures for granting access capacity at just transition hubs as “strategic energy facilities.”
In the case of Asturias, the contracts for Narcea have been awarded for the development of the reversible pumped-storage plant that Magtel plans to install at the La Barca reservoir in Tineo, with a capacity of 320 MW. Meanwhile, Hunosa was awarded 50 MW to convert the La Pereda thermal power plant into a renewable energy plant using biomass.
